Supervise the files, not the people.

Supervision gives the Head of Compliance and the Head of Relationship Management one view of every Client file and firm obligation: open suitability items, reviews due, held drafts and overrides, each with the message, the rule and the decision behind it. It supervises files and obligations. No Relationship Manager score is displayed.

The case, in four factsSupervision

  • ShowsEach item with its source, the rule that applied and the decision taken
  • ReturnsA follow-up Task, routed by the supervisor

[01] The storyToday · the moment · with Luscent

From a sample to every file.

Supervision gives the compliance function one view of Client files and firm obligations: what is open, what is overdue and what was overridden, with the record behind each item. It supervises files, never the person.

  1. 01 · Today

Supervision reads a sample, weeks later.

A reviewer pulls a handful of files after the fact. What happened in the rest of the book is known only when something goes wrong.

  2. 02 · The moment

Every open item, as it arises.

Suitability items, reviews due, held drafts and overrides arrive in one view for the compliance function, each with the record behind it.

  3. 03 · With Luscent

The files are supervised. The people are not scored.

The supervisor routes the follow-up and the decision is kept. No score, rank or trend about a Relationship Manager is displayed anywhere.

[02] Who gets whatFour seats

One workflow, four people who stop chasing it.

Compliance officer

  • Open items across every Client file, in one view
  • Every override with its mandatory reason

OutcomeSupervision of every file, not a sample.

Head of relationship management

  • What is open in each book, grouped for navigation only
  • Follow-ups routed as Tasks, with the file attached

OutcomeObligations met before they are overdue.

Relationship manager

  • No score, rank or trend about you, anywhere in the product
  • Follow-ups that arrive with the file and the reason

OutcomeSupervised files, not a supervised person.

Management

  • Firm-level rates, never per-person ones
  • A record that stands up to a review

OutcomeOversight the firm can show.

[03] The business caseSame model as the full estimate

Supervision that reads every file, not a sample.

Supervision works on compliance effort: open items are found as they arise instead of in a periodic sample. Luscent does not put a figure on it here; the estimator on /pricing works from your own numbers.

  • 01Open items on every Client file, as they arise
  • 02Every override kept with its reason
  • 03Follow-ups routed and recorded, not remembered
  • PilotMeasured on your own book in the pilot, against success metrics agreed in writing before anything is connected.

[04] BoundariesAnd how AI is used here

What it always does, and what it never does.

Always

  • Supervises Client files and firm obligations
  • Shows the source behind every item
  • Keeps every override with its reason
  • Reports rates at firm level only

Never

  • Displays a score, rank or trend for a Relationship Manager
  • Turns grouping by book into a view of a person
  • Decides on the supervisor's behalf
How AI is used · Reads

Language models read Client communications for the Signals that feed the view, with identifiers anonymised before every call.

How AI is used · Decides

Compliance outcomes come from the deterministic rules engine. The supervisor decides the follow-up.

How AI is used · On the record

Every item, override and decision is kept in the Audit Trail, viewable as of any date.

The EU AI Act's Article 50 transparency obligations applied on 2 August 2026. Luscent's documented position is available on request. Where AI reads, and who decides

[05] The ruleOur reading, not legal advice

Our reading of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/565, Article 22(2)(a)

“to monitor on a permanent basis and to assess, on a regular basis, the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures, policies and procedures”

Supervision gives the compliance function a standing view of the files those measures produce, instead of a sample read weeks later.

Our reading, not legal advice. The rules engine applies the firm's own configuration of these rules, and the relationship manager decides.
