See why a Signal was raised
Every Signal points back to its evidence: the exchange Luscent read, the rule that fired, or the Signals behind a Pattern. Open it before you act to see what Luscent saw.
Common questions
Does Luscent change or send the message? No. Luscent reads the exchange to raise the Signal. Nothing is written back to your mailbox or calendar.
Why can I not find a message I know the Client sent? If Luscent cannot tell which Client a message belongs to, for example because several Clients share the address, it does not attach the message to any Client.
Where do I see the evidence for a Pattern? Open the Pattern Signal. It lists the Signals that formed it, and each of those opens its own source.
Before you start
Signals read from communications need Microsoft 365 connected for your firm.
Steps
Open the Signal. Its detail opens on the right.
Read the reasoning. Under the summary, Luscent says in plain words why it raised the Signal, and suggests what to do.
Open the source. For a Signal read from communications, select Open source to see the exchange: the email, the Teams message or the meeting transcript, with the passage Luscent read.
Read around it. Check the messages before and after. A sentence that reads as a complaint on its own can be a joke in the thread.
Three kinds of evidence
An exchange, for Signals read from communications: the message, who sent it and when.
A rule and a data point, for rules-engine Signals: the rule that fired and the value it fired on, such as a suitability profile past its review date. See Read a rules-engine Signal.
Linked Signals, for Patterns: the Signals that formed the Pattern, each with its own source.
When the source is missing
If Luscent cannot tell which Client a message belongs to, it does not attach the message to any Client and raises no Signal from it. A message from an address that several Clients share, a family office mailbox for example, may therefore not appear.
COMPLIANCE NOTE. The source stays linked to the Signal and to any decision made on it. When someone asks later what you relied on, the answer is already on file and nobody has to reconstruct it.
